ZDOROVI are at the peak of the highest waves of changes at the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2025
Insights from our CEO and URC participant Natalia Tulinova
From 2017 this platform plays a great role in European outshaped development of our country. This is the place where only during a few hours the most important decisions are made dedicated to the swift recovery and long-term reconstruction of Ukraine. Around 4,000 representatives of governments, business, and civil society are participating in the event.
Only during side events and the first day of the conference more than 15 prime-ministers of EU countries were presenting their ways in supporting Ukraine. Our CEO Natalia Tulinova witnessed speeches of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and The First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska, The President of European commission Ursula von der Leyen, The Prime Minister of Italy Georgia Meloni, The Chancellor of Germany Friedrich Merz, The Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk.
These are the insights from Natalia about the keypoint of their speeches:
Ursula von der Leyen: “The EU is creating a large fund for the recovery of Ukraine to attract investments in energy, transport and critical resources”, she was talking about the amount of about 10 billion euros. She stressed the importance of supporting Ukraine for the security of all of Europe and accelerating its accession to the EU.
Georgia Meloni said that Italy is ready to help Ukraine not only financially, but also by attracting business and innovation. She called on the world to join forces for the faster reconstruction of the country. And she committed to rebuilding the Odessa region.
Volodymyr Zelensky pointed out that Ukraine needs constant support for reforms and strengthening its defense capabilities. He called for investing in the recovery and development of the economy.
Olena Zelenska was very specific; she drew attention to the importance of helping people affected by the war and restoring social infrastructure, including education and medicine. Mentioned rehabilitation and mental health.
Friedrich Merz pointed out that Germany stands by and is ready to support energy transformation and reforms. Also emphasized the unity of Europe on this issue.
Donald Tusk underlined that Europe should not stop halfway and accelerate Ukraine's integration into the EU, because Ukraine's victory is the key to stability and peace in this region.
The results of the conference are not only in future plans, but in great deeds with about 200 agreements ready to be signed, worth over 10 billion euros, for example:
Lithuania announced the allocation of 21 million euros for the restoration of educational infrastructure in Ukraine.
Global glass industry leaders unite to deliver Ukraine's largest float glass production project, that attracts over €240 million for building the glass manufacturing plant in the Kyiv region by 2028.
Finland announced that it will coordinate efforts to build 10,000 bomb shelters for the population across Ukraine over the next ten years.
But of course the decisions are made in supporting the medical sphere also.
On July 11 Fiammetta Salmoni, General Director of the Defense Industry Agency, stated in her speech that the Defense Industry Agency (AID) engaged in supporting the healthcare system of the Odessa Oblast, specifically focusing on maternal and neonatal health. They will provide neonatal intensive care equipment and offer specialized professional training for healthcare workers, which will have a positive impact on over 400,000 newborns, children, and adolescents, as well as 50,000 internally displaced minors. And this is only the part of positive plans and agreement in recovering and supporting Ukraine. This underlined the importance and relevance of the advocacy project of ZDOROVI - “The first breath”, initiated to save and support premature babies all over Ukraine.
The URC 2025 also provided an opportunity to expand collaboration in the healthcare sectors through the provision of orphan drugs for rare diseases and support for the mental health of Ukrainians.
During the conference it was outlined that health is a primary value, one to be shared and defended, as it is the foundation of our democracies. And ZDOROVI acts every day to protect this primary value and help Ukrainian medical workers to develop and save lives!
