ZDOROVI Signed a Memorandum of Strategic Cooperation with the International Rescue Committee (IRC)
ZDOROVI has become one of six Ukrainian organizations selected as strategic partners of the International Rescue Committee (IRC).
The signing of the Memorandum marks the beginning of a new model of long-term collaboration that extends beyond individual projects and grant-funded initiatives. It is built on shared growth, mutual trust, and an equal partnership.
Unlike traditional cooperation models, IRC's Strategic Partnership was developed not for Ukrainian organizations, but with them. From the outset, representatives of the partner organizations actively contributed to designing its principles and approaches, helping shape what long-term partnership should look like in practice.
A Partnership Beyond Individual Projects
The Strategic Partnership is not tied to a single donor or a specific grant program. Instead, it aims to establish a sustainable framework for collaboration between international and Ukrainian organizations, enabling them to respond to emerging challenges while planning for long-term development jointly.
As part of the partnership, the organizations will work together to:
identify shared strategic priorities;
design and implement new programs;
explore opportunities for joint resource mobilization;
strengthen institutional capacity;
exchange expertise, knowledge, and best practices;
conduct joint research and advocacy initiatives;
foster a culture of mutual training and support.
This approach enables the establishment of long-term partnerships founded on shared responsibility and a collective commitment to systemic change, rather than short-term, project-based relationships.
For ZDOROVI, participation in the Strategic Partnership creates new opportunities to expand programs that strengthen Ukraine's healthcare system, enhance the capacity of healthcare facilities, invest in human capital, and support healthcare professionals.
We believe that the most effective solutions emerge when international and Ukrainian organizations work as equal partners, combining their expertise, resources, and shared vision for the future.
Advancing the Localization of Humanitarian Assistance
In recent years, the localization of humanitarian assistance has become one of the defining priorities of international cooperation. It aims to strengthen the role of Ukrainian organizations in identifying community needs, designing solutions, and implementing humanitarian programs.
IRC's Strategic Partnership is a practical example of this approach. It demonstrates that sustainable, long-term impact is achieved when international and local organizations work together based on mutual trust, shared decision-making, and equal responsibility.
Together with IRC and our fellow Ukrainian partners, we will continue working to ensure that Ukrainian communities, healthcare professionals, and healthcare facilities receive not only timely support but also new opportunities for sustainable development.
We are sincerely grateful to the International Rescue Committee for its trust and for the opportunity to be part of this important initiative. We look forward to developing new joint solutions, expanding our partnerships, and driving systemic changes that will make Ukraine's healthcare system even stronger.
