This year has been one of profound challenges and breakthroughs for ZDOROVI, but more than anything, it has been a testament to the power of unity. Together with our partners, we reached hospitals, doctors, and patients in every corner of Ukraine, bringing not just aid but hope when it was needed most.  

‍A Ripple Effect of Compassion

Imagine a small hospital in a frontline region, its staff exhausted from unrelenting pressure. This year, ZDOROVI brought something invaluable to hospitals like this: tools, training, and support to keep moving forward. Through partnerships with organizations such as GlobalGiving, USAID Ukraine, Americares, and Nova Ukraine, we raised UAH 34.9 million (USD 881,000), enabling us to deliver cutting-edge medical equipment, humanitarian aid, and mental health programs.  

The impact was profound. Across 246 hospitals in 158 cities, from the Carpathians to the Azov Sea, our assistance reached communities that might otherwise have been forgotten. The total value of aid distributed exceeded UAH 112 million, a figure that speaks to the generosity of our partners and the dedication of our team.  

‍Strengthening the Caregivers  

Doctors and nurses are the backbone of any healthcare system, and in Ukraine, they have carried an immense burden. This year, we focused on their well-being through initiatives like “Medicine for Doctors,” a program that provided psychological support to hundreds of healthcare workers.  

We also turned our attention to leadership. With Americares’ support, we trained 31 hospital leaders in frontline areas through the “Leadership and Resilience in Times of Crisis” program. These sessions equipped them with the skills and confidence to navigate uncertainty and lead their teams through the most challenging of times.  

Meanwhile, our "Doctor & Veteran" program bridged an important gap, helping medical professionals better understand and meet the needs of Ukraine’s veterans. Every session, every conversation, and every insight gained strengthened the bond between those who serve on the battlefield and those who heal.

Guided by Data, Driven by Change

In 2024, we deepened our understanding of the healthcare system through research. Our “Barometer” study, supported by GlobalGiving, uncovered the critical challenges facing hospitals, while a separate study with IRC focused on the well-being of medical workers. These findings not only informed our actions but also gave a voice to the silent struggles within the system.

Recognition That Inspires

This work did not go unnoticed. In 2024, ZDOROVI was recognized as one of Ukraine’s leading charitable organizations, ranking 23rd in Forbes’ list of the country’s top 50 foundations. We were honored to receive first place in the “Charity in Healthcare” category at the Charity Ukraine Award and earned five stars in the National Charity Compass Rating.  

These accolades are not just milestones; they are reminders of what we have achieved together. They reflect the countless lives touched and the trust placed in ZDOROVI to make a difference.
